Ice cream in America
Ice cream is simple, cream, sugar, eggs.
Not in America, here capitalism must extract. People want their ice cream rich in flavor but cheap in price. Introducing ice cream with extras.
Replace the cream with water, only now the flavor isn't rich, sure the profits go up, but what about that rich flavor? Introduce artificial thickeners, such, they might cause gut inflammation, but everyone is doing it, and the consumer doesn't care, they just want rich flavor and a cheap price.
Go down your grocery ice cream isle, I challenge you to find an ice cream that doesn't have thickeners, guar gum, it prevents ice crystals, which form when the ice cream has too much water, water which is .much cheaper than cream.
Having bowl issues, no, it's not you getting older, it's the food supply getting more capitalist. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S247529912311660X
Capitalism is great when consumers are well informed, but when billions find teams of chemists, and capture industry regulation, there is no hope for the average consumer, how are you expected to keep up when you don't have a team of chemists on your side?
The US needs the equivalent of a union but for foods. The problem is, as soon as one starts, the temptations to sell is just too great, capitalism will squeeze and extract all the value every single time, which means you have an army of money working against you at every turn.
